110% Doyle's Room Super Bonus
Code:
STW110B.
We've secured an exclusive deal with
Doyle's Room
to our new players a special Super Bonus: 110% cash. This is the
largest bonus they've offered to date. Use any of our links or promo
code STW110B otherwise you'll receive the standard amount.
The bonus includes:
1. 110% cash bonus, up to $660.
This unadvertised Super Bonus is only available to visitors using our
links to
Doyle's Room or our bonus promo code STW110B. This is
more than double the standard bonus.
2. One free $27.50 Bounty tournament rebate. In addition to
the bonus, our players get a free shot at
the weekly Bounty Tournament that features Doyle
Brunson. Players signing up with
Doyle's Room
through our site receive a $27.50 rebate automatically
credited back to their account.
For US players, the initial
Doyle's Room
deposit options include eCheck, MoneyGram, eWalletXpress, PICclub,
or cash transfer. My first recommendation would be the eCheck option
for ease of use and lack of fees. While the initial certification
process is a bit of a hassle and takes a couple of days the
long-term benefit is instant deposits and payouts directly from your
checking account. Poker rooms supporting US eChecks are extremely
scarce in the current market so this is certainly a major positive
for
Doyle's Room.
Other options include the MoneyGram
service, which is a cash transfer service that offers both online
transactions and brick-and-mortar service in many grocery stores or
pharmacies. The eWalletXpress service is convenient in that it works
directly with checking accounts and is supported at a number of
poker rooms. Unfortunately, the fee structure is fairly high.
Finally, you might e-mail the poker room about paper options such as
money orders or cashier's checks.
Overall:

Doyle's Room
is the self-titled online poker site for my favorite poker legend,
Doyle Brunson. While it is a unique feature to be able to play with
Doyle online, I like this poker site on other merits and give it a
good overall score. In terms of unique promotions, the site is
giving a special 110% Super Bonus to our players along with a free
entry into the weekly Bounty tournament. While the constant network
switching has certainly been frustrating in my 3 years of play here the
goal seems to be to serve all US players.
Doyle's Room
is now on the Cake platform to accommodate traffic from all 50 US
states. With several established brands choosing to migrate to the
network the overall traffic has increased significantly. This
benefits the player in the end with a greater choice of ring game
options and a busier tournament schedule.
Overall, the main
strengths of
Doyle's Room
include good customer service, loose tables, the Doyle Brunson
image, and some unique
promotions for our players. It is a player-friendly site and is my
choice as one of the top skins on the network.
Bonus (110%
Super Bonus) and Promotions:
5/5
As mentioned above, we've secured an
exclusive increased Super Bonus from
Doyle's Room
that includes 110% cash. Our visitors also receive an increased
maximum bonus at $660. This is over 3 times larger than
the 35% cash you can
receive directly through the homepage. You'll need to use one of
our links to
Doyle's Room or bonus promo code STW110B otherwise you'll only get the standard bonus.
Another exclusive promotion given to
our
Doyle's Room super bonus players is the free $27.50 Bounty tournament entry.
Look below for the necessary steps to claim the free entry. Rounding
out the promotions is a bad beat jackpot for getting four 8s or
better beaten. Overall,
Doyle's Room does offer one of the most competitive bonuses if
only for the sheer number of free promos given to new players.
FREE BOUNTY

Fish:

3.5/5
One of the biggest surprises that I ran
into was both the maniacal and weak play at
Doyle's Room.
I assumed that most players who chose to join a legend-endorsed site without a lot of
advertising would probably know a thing or two about poker. Of
course, some of them do. However, the ring games are pretty loose
even up to the highest limits.
The
Doyle's Room software runs quickly and there
are multiple raise buttons built in, both of which I feel
contributes to the loose play. I also suppose they think that they
can play Doyle's aggressive style in low limit online play which
simply doesn't work. Doyle himself will tell you that you should be
playing the opposite style of the rest of table, which would be a
conservative game at most tables on this site. You'll run into a lot
of draws, a lot of trash hands, and a few learned players.
The play
at no-limit ring games tends to support a combination of aggressive
and weak players so don't try to limp into a lot
of pots from early position as you'll probably just end up folding or
paying more than you wanted to see a flop. I like the fact that
action tends to favor full no-limit ring games. Also, since
this site is on the same network as a number of European crossover
sites it contributes to an overall loose player base.
Tournaments:
4/5
The main tournament draw of
Doyle's Room
has remained in the week Bounty event. In this event, Doyle Brunson,
Mike Caro, and Hoyt Corkins are the usual bounties and it is a
thrill to actually draw one of them at your table. Players are
awarded prizes up to $25,000 for knocking out multiple bounty
players. New players through our site will be able to play their
first $27.50 Bounty tourney free so it's certainly worth taking a
shot at.
Other multi-table tournaments include numerous daily
guarantees with prize pools between $2,000-25,000 with most buy-ins
under $30. The big weekly event is a $100,000
guarantee that takes place every Sunday at 5PM EST. The buy-in is
also very reasonable at $150. One Sunday per month, a $250,000
guarantee is offered with a $250 buy-in. I also appreciate the
range in buy-ins at
Doyle's Room with a few sub-$10 events each hour in addition to
at least one or two over $20. Sit and Gos are busy up to the middle
stakes and wait times are short to get under way.
Software:
4/5
As with other poker rooms on this
network
Doyle's Room
does little to change the default software skin, which isn't
necessarily a bad thing. Overall, the software is perfectly
functional without many advanced features or unnecessary bloat. The
typical bird's-eye view works well enough and each player is able to
choose from a number of predetermined photo avatars. Lately, I've
been preferring the alternate "Simple" mode which gets rid of the
avatars and dealer graphic. The overall appearance is a bit cleaner
with an obvious green highlight over the action player.
Game speed is above average with about
50-60 hands per hour being the average for full 10-handed games. The
lobby is simple enough to understand with table details easily
available. I prefer the graphical hand history interface found in
the
Doyle's Room
software over the text histories of other sites. In terms of betting
buttons, the standard pot option is available as well as a 1/2 pot
button, which is convenient. Overall, this isn't a particularly
innovating software package but it is resizable, slightly
customizable, and doesn't have any major negatives.
US Payouts:
4.5/5
The
Doyle's Room
cashier is fairly extensive and does offer direct US checking
account payouts for certified accounts. These are usually processed
within about 7-10 days of a withdrawal request. Personally, I've
been using Fedex express check payouts for the past several months.
While the fees are exorbitant it does cut down the total waiting
time to about 10-14 days. While the fees are halved for standard
check delivery I don't suggest using this method if you need your
payout within 3-4 weeks.
Customer Service:
5/5
Doyle's Room
does seem to take customer service seriously and their number of
options combined with my personal results earn them a top score. Of
course, you can
go the standard way and send them a direct e-mail with a typically
quick response time. However, I find their
live manager chat to be a much better in-game option. From any table window,
you can click a link to chat with a representative in a private
window. Finally, they do encourage players to call their toll-free
number for support. I've used this a number of times and have always
had my issue resolved quickly without hassle.
Player Traffic
With
Doyle's Room
now on the Cake platform, I've noticed a significant improvement in
player traffic both for ring games and tournaments. Much of the
action is focused on 6-handed tables with sometimes 10 or more full
tables at most limits. Full tables also have at least several games
going up to the middle limits with the occasional active high-stakes
game. Tournaments have also grown with numerous
daily guarantees attracting 500 or more players.
Best Features
Increased sign up bonus. I give them
credit for offering our players the increased 110% cash.
Free Bounty tournament. The chance to play with Doyle is a nice perk
and the free entry allows every new player to try it out at least
once.
Strong traffic. The change in network gives players access to a
busier network for both ring games and tournaments.

$100/$200 No-Limit: 2c/4c up to $50/$100

cashier's check.

Tips: The players
at Doyle's Room
are most likely fans of the self-titled poker legend. But they don't
seem to understand that you can't play his super-aggressive style
online against faceless opponents. You'll often have 2 or 3 of these
players trying to run over you at any given table. Don't let them!
Stick to your game and make them pay when you have a premium hand.
Many players at Doyle's Room
seem to take
every possible opportunity to draw to a hand, so I rarely suggest
slowplaying your medium-strong hands. On the converse, when you do
hit a real unbeatable monster on the flop, this type of player is
great to slowplay. There is nothing sweeter than having the nut full
house when someone hits their straight or flush draw on the river.
You'll get all the action you want and you'll love it.
