Las Vegas Summer Poker Tournaments You Shouldn’t Miss

Las Vegas summer poker tournaments
A few live poker tournaments are already running in Sin City, and many more are expected to start in the summer months.

The spring and summer months are usually reserved for the annual WSOP series in Sin City. Memorial Day has always been the first day of the WSOP, and the series would go on until some time in July. Although the last year and the whole situation around the pandemic messed with this tradition and many other poker tournaments, poker fans in the US can expect poker events to get back on schedule in 2021.

WSOP

The WSOP wanted to make sure that the event will take place this year and rescheduled it for fall to avoid any potential risks. The famous poker series will take place between September 30 and November 23 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

The WSOP Main Event will feature a $10K buy-in, while the exact details are still to be worked out by the WSOP organizers. However, when it comes to other poker events in Las Vegas, most of them will not be delayed. What is more, some of them even started in May, while others are expected to take place through June and July.

Nevertheless, there will still be a WSOP tournament from July 1 to August 1, but it’ll take place online. Any poker player of the legal gambling age located in Nevada will be able to join daily WSOP online events and win fantastic prizes.

Live Poker in Las Vegas Already on Fire

The end of May marked the beginning of a poker-infused summer in Las Vegas. Some tournaments went live the moment the authorities loosened up pandemic-related regulations in live casino venues.

Some events that are currently ongoing include:

  • Wynn Summer Classic — Started on May 27 and will last until July 13. Buy-in ranges between $200 and $10,000, and the guaranteed prize pool can reach $10 million.
  • Venetian DeepStack Championship Poker Series — Started on May 3 and will last until August 1. Buy-in ranges from $200 to $25,000, and the guaranteed prize pool goes up to $3 million.
Las Vegas will be jam-packed with poker events this summer
Even though the WSOP 2021 has been rescheduled for fall, poker players in Las Vegas will have many other options when it comes to summer poker tournaments.
