Growing Ignition Poker’s Presence on Twitch
Twitch has become a hugely important tool for online poker sites in attracting more users to their platforms. PokerStars, Americas Cardroom and PartyPoker all have dedicated streaming teams and their Twitch accounts attracting millions of views every month. So, it is surprising that a brand as big as Ignition has yet to hop on board the trend.
A look at the followers for the top online poker sites on Twitch shows just how much an impact streaming has on a brand:
- partypokerTV: 75.2k followers
- AmericasCardoom: 22.7k followers
- PokerStars: 293k followers
- WorldPokerTour: 40.8k followers
However, these numbers pale in comparison to the follower counts of individual poker streamers, such as:
- Lex Veldhuis of Team PokerStars: 301k followers
- Matt Staples of Team PartyPoker: 104k followers
- Jamie Staples of Team Party Poker: 153k followers
So, it’s pretty important for top online poker sites to have a presence on Twitch. Even if Ignition Poker is a little bit late to the game, the brand’s partnership with Landon Tice is a step in the right direction.
