Casino deposit bonuses: compare the full terms.
The headline match is only the start. Compare the casino bonus for your actual deposit, its cap, the wagering base and the contribution of eligible games. A 25× bonus-only requirement and 25× deposit plus bonus are different offers; poker credit follows separate release rules.
First-deposit matches, terms compared.
Casino components only, on a $200 deposit with a 4% edge on eligible slots. Complete cases are ordered by bonus less modeled turnover cost. Incomplete cases follow without a value rank. These are illustrations, not predictions of cashouts.
Bovada
This is the first $1,000 match in a three-deposit package, not a $3,000 match on one deposit. Standard eligible blackjack contributes 10%, double deck 2%; single-deck and live-dealer games are excluded. On a $200 deposit: $200 match, $10,000 qualifying-slot turnover; modeled cost $400 at a 4% edge. Bonus less that cost: −$200.
CAWELCOME100
Slots.lv
Casino match only; extra spins have separate rules. Standard eligible blackjack contributes 10%, double deck 2%; single-deck and live-dealer games are excluded. Card deposits have a separate 100% match up to $2,000. On a $200 deposit: $400 match, $21,000 qualifying-slot turnover; modeled cost $840 at a 4% edge. Bonus less that cost: −$440.

Cafe Casino
The public offer specifies 40× but does not resolve the wagering base for this comparison, so no cost ranking is assigned. Fiat deposits have a separate 200% match up to $1,500; free spins have separate terms. Not cost-ranked: the wagering base, game contribution or another required input is unverified.

Ignition Casino
The casino half of a combined poker-and-casino package. The other 150% match belongs to poker; the $3,000 combined headline is not a single casino bonus. Casino wagering inputs remain unverified. Not cost-ranked: the wagering base, game contribution or another required input is unverified.

How a deposit bonus actually works.
Casino cash matches share a basic calculation, but the base, game contribution and conditions vary. Poker releases and free-spin promotions need separate comparisons.
The deposit earns a specified match
The credited bonus is your deposit times the percentage, capped at the maximum for that deposit. A total spread across several deposits or two products is not the first-deposit casino match.
The wagering base comes next
A requirement can apply to the bonus alone or to deposit plus bonus. Use the exact base in the terms. On a $200 deposit with a $200 bonus, 25× means $5,000 or $10,000 respectively.
Each game contributes at its own rate
Divide the stated turnover by the contribution fraction. A game counting 10% requires ten times as much betting; an excluded game makes no progress.
The deadline and maximum stake still apply
A cost illustration assumes the full requirement can be completed. A short deadline, maximum bet, excluded game or cashout cap can change whether an offer suits your planned play.
Stopping early follows the offer rules
Cancellation, withdrawal and bonus-forfeiture rules differ. Read what happens to your deposit, bonus and winnings rather than treating a non-sticky label as a guarantee.
Compare the whole set of terms
The calculation below illustrates turnover cost at an assumed edge. It does not predict a cashout: your balance can run out before the requirement is completed.
The six traps to watch for.
None of these are hidden — they are all in the terms. They are simply the levers operators use to price a generous-looking headline back down to something that favours the house.
A multiple without a base is incomplete
Costly25× bonus and 25× deposit plus bonus are different requirements. For an uncapped 100% match the second requires twice the turnover; other match sizes have different ratios.
A package total is not one casino match
CostlySeparate poker credit, free spins and later-deposit matches before comparing offers. Each can have its own release rules and ceiling.
Game contribution changes the calculation
CostlyA low-edge game can still be expensive to use when only a small fraction of each bet counts. Excluded games do not help clear the requirement.
The headline percentage still needs a cap
Watch outThe bonus is the smaller of deposit times match percentage and the cap. Depositing above the cap point earns no additional bonus; deposit-plus-bonus turnover may still increase.
The model assumes full completion
Watch outTurnover times house edge is an illustration. Bust-out, bet size, cashout restrictions and deadlines mean it is not a forecast of session profit or loss.
Withdrawal and cancellation rules matter
Watch outCheck account eligibility, maximum bets, payout limits and what happens if you cancel. A calculation cannot override the terms you accept.
The wagering math, laid bare.
Complete cases from the comparison above: a $200 deposit, the first-deposit casino match and a 4% edge on eligible slots. The stated wagering base is included.
Bovada: 100% up to $1,000
On a $200 deposit: $200 match, $10,000 qualifying-slot turnover; modeled cost $400 at a 4% edge. Bonus less that cost: −$200.
Slots.lv: 200% up to $3,000
On a $200 deposit: $400 match, $21,000 qualifying-slot turnover; modeled cost $840 at a 4% edge. Bonus less that cost: −$440.
A threshold needs its assumptions.
At full contribution, the multiple where modeled cost equals the bonus is bonus ÷ wagering base ÷ house edge. Bonus-only wagering at 4% gives 25×; a 100% deposit-plus-bonus match gives 12.5×. Different match sizes and caps change that second figure. Full turnover may never be reached if the balance runs out, so these figures are not session profit forecasts.
Illustrate a bonus’s turnover cost.
Enter a deposit and the casino match terms. The calculator shows the credit and full-turnover cost at an assumed 4% edge with 100% contribution. It does not predict what you will withdraw.
Manual illustration — confirm the offer’s eligibility and terms before using these inputs.
Assumes a 4% house edge on bonus-eligible slots and full game contribution. Play something weighted at 10% and the real turnover is ten times what is shown. This assumes the full turnover can be completed. It excludes bust-out, deadlines, fees, cashout caps and strategy restrictions; it is not a prediction of profit or withdrawal. Presets cover the stated first-deposit casino component and raise a smaller input deposit to its qualifying minimum.
So… should you take the match?
Check the full terms against the play you already planned. A cost illustration helps compare offers, but the base, games, deadline and withdrawal rules all matter.
- You planned to play at this site within a fixed budget anyway.
- The match, cap, wagering base and eligible games are clear.
- The deadline and stake rules fit your intended play.
- You understand withdrawal and cancellation terms.
- The wagering base or contribution is unclear.
- The modeled cost exceeds the benefit you expect from the offer.
- You would deposit more or play longer to reach a headline figure.
- The terms conflict with the games or withdrawal method you intend to use.
Three rules. That’s it.
Compare equivalent components.
A first-deposit casino match is different from a poker release bonus or a package spread across several deposits.
Use the actual wagering base.
Turnover = base × multiple ÷ contribution fraction. Bonus-only and deposit-plus-bonus requirements are not interchangeable.
Keep the illustration in perspective.
Subtracting modeled turnover cost from the bonus is a comparison aid, not a promised return. Your budget and the full terms come first.
